The topic of sex in our Christian lives has often been mishandled, forgotten, or ignored by the Church. But our world shouts it from the rooftops, and sexual sin pervades our culture. When a person struggles with unwanted sexual behaviors like addiction to pornography, the Christian answer has often been to "pray more" or "try harder." And while those are good things, they are incomplete when dealing with complex issues of shame, trauma, betrayal, pain, and addiction. This video course offers a path of grace as people journey toward healing and transformation. It is intended to raise awareness of sexual brokenness that exists in our world and in our churches today. Its goal is to help us normalize this conversation and lift the shame that comes with sexual sin. It offers insight into the complex problems of sexual addiction, betrayal, and unhealthy relationship patterns. The course begins October 3 and continues for 6 weeks on Sunday evenings at 5:30PM. A workbook is included with course registration at a cost of $8. We recommend one book per person, but couples could share a book. This course material is only recommended for high school age and above. A childcare program is available for families up to 4th grade during the study, and a donation of $5 per week is encouraged to help cover those costs.
