Summit Church has been serving Niles and the surrounding area for 70 years. The church was started in 1950, when a group of people meeting in homes for prayer felt God leading them to start a church in their community. We started as "First Missionary Church" and over the years, we changed locations and changed our name to Summit Church. Over the past 70 years the church has faithfully served our area in several locations, growing and changing with the times. We have always been, and continue to be, focused on our goal of leading people to follow Christ. 

In late 2014, Summit Church moved to our current location. Our campus, which includes soccer and softball fields, a park and playground, and our church building, has enabled us to be a community-minded church. 

As our church grows, we want to stay focused on the things to which God has called us. Everything we do in ministry is centered around Jesus. Our goal is to help people understand how to follow Him through discipleship--learning to live like Jesus. So we focus on three things that we believe help transform people into followers of Jesus: 

Knowing God, Loving People, and Serving the World. 

If we can be a church full of people who do these things together, and do them well, we know that God will work among us in powerful ways.
