Welcome to Summit Kids

Summit Kids exists to connect kids to a life-changing and meaningful relationship with God. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and interactive experience at each age level. Kids will engage in play, activities, songs, and Bible lessons. Summit Kids is a community where kids will come to love God and others as they grow spiritually. Our team is screened, trained, and skilled in caring for your children. Summit Kids is held on Sundays during each of our worship services.

Early Childhood

We recognize the importance of the early years of life, when first impressions of the Church and God are being formed. Curating a foundation of faith in these young children begins by sharing the love of Jesus Christ through the actions and words of our caregivers. Our infants (newborns through 12 months) have a monthly scripture board book club that the caregivers read aloud each Sunday. Our one-year-old children learn each week about something that God created. Two-year-old children weekly discover what God does. Our three-year-olds experience who Jesus is though Gospel Light curriculum.

Preschool - Third Grade

Our older children are challenged to develop a passion for God through worship, large group teaching, and a variety of fun activities. Emphasis is put on scripture memorization. We help kids put scripture in their minds and God moves it to their hearts. Home Connect is an intentional tool that can be used to engage with your child(ren) spiritually throughout the week; it keeps parents informed and engaged with the teaching their kids are hearing on a Sunday morning.

  • Discipling Your Kids in the Word  //  nov. 24

Have you ever wondered how to help your kids spend time in the Word? “Discipling Your Kids in the Word” is for parents and guardians of children of all ages and will explore practical ways to disciple your kids at home, the primary place of discipleship. We’ll hear from a panel of parents to hear what they do regularly and how they learned to spend time with Jesus. The event is from 5:30-7PM. Register here.

  • December to Remember  //  Dec. 7

At December to Remember, you and your family can anticipate Christmas fun with our Summit Family! Part of our focus this year is reaching out to others, so you will create something for your family and a way to bless others with some Christmas games mixed in. This event will occur in the Summit Church Worship Center from 10AM-12PM on Saturday, December 7; register your family here.

  • HOME connect

Home Connect is an intentional tool that can be used to engage with your child(ren) spiritually throughout the week. Here is what we learned this week and some questions to get your conversation started. We hope that this will give you a chance to spend time in God’s Word as a family. Access this week's Home Connect here.

  • Scripture Memory Video  //  Psalm 145

Summit Kid is focusing on Scripture memory! Every two weeks, we cycle through learning and reviewing a verse as we build to whole passages of Scripture over a few months. Linked HERE are the first seven verses of Psalm 145, which we are memorizing this fall. We use these hand motions to make putting God's Word in our hearts easier. We challenge you to learn this scripture together as a family.

  • Make Room Family Conversations

You can use this document to help guide your conversations about the Make Room project with your kids, preteens, and students.

Leading Kids to Follow Christ

This happens through a three-step process:

KNOW GOD:

By working through gospel-centered curriculum, we help our kids to see who God is and learn about His plan for the world.

LOVE PEOPLE:

Through an exciting time of fellowship, we encourage unity in families, church, and the community.

SERVE THE WORLD:

Jesus was a servant and calls us to be the same. We put others' needs ahead of our own by giving time and resources to each other, to our community, and beyond.

Serving in Summit Kids

"'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.' And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them." -Mark 10:14b-16

There are many opportunities to serve in Summit Kids, including check-in, teaching, worship, midweek preparations and more. If you have a love for kids and a desire to serve, we have a place for you! Take your first step by contacting Amy Stuglik.
